By using one of our Properties, including registering for an account or accessing one of our Properties, you agree to the fact that we may collect, process and use your information in accordance with this document, as required to ensure proper use of our services, as such policy may be amended from time to time.

What type of information we collect

We may collect different types of information about you, including:

Personal information

We may collect personal information through your use of our Properties, for example, when you register with our Properties, sign up to receive communications from us, update your account information, respond to surveys, rate or review products, contact us with questions or comments, submit user-generated content, or participate in our online forums, promotions, and social media platforms.

This personal information may include data attributes such as your full name, username, password, email address, and other information you may have provided to us.

In some cases, we may combine information you have provided to us with other personal information, for example combining your name with the characteristics of your mobile device, in order to provide appropriate technical support.

Device information we collect through our Properties

Server Log Files: The Internet Protocol (IP) address is a number that is automatically assigned by your Internet service provider to the computer or device you are using and is automatically identified and recorded in our server log files whenever you visit one of our Properties, along with the time of visit, the page(s) or screen(s) that was (were) visited, and other information related to your visit. We use IP addresses for purposes such as directing visitors to the appropriate web page for the visitor's country, calculating usage levels, helping diagnose server problems, and administering our Properties. If you accessed one of our Properties with a mobile device such as a smart phone, we may also collect your phone's unique identification number and other similar data about the mobile device, which is used to provide faster and more personalized processing of technical support requests.

Cookies and similar technologies: A "cookie" is a small text file containing a random, unique alphanumeric identifier that our Properties may transfer to your computer's hard drive through your browser that allows our systems to recognize your browser. We use, or may use, technologies such as cookies, web beacons, clear GIF images, pixel technologies, or Internet tags that can uniquely identify your account or the IP address associated with your Internet device. We also allow third parties to collect information on our websites, solely for internal usage analysis purposes, through these technologies, as described below. Cookies and the other technologies mentioned above provide us with information regarding the ways in which consumers interact with our advertising or Properties, such as browser type, browsing behaviours, user web requests, pages and content viewed, number of new visits or logins, search engine referrals, affiliate referrals, traffic driven by banner advertising, or other promotions. Technologies of this type may contain or store personal and non-personal information (such as whether you have previously registered with our Properties or agreed to have certain personal information retained) and allow web browsing servers to recognize returning visitors to our Properties and improve web browsing, the quality or delivery of certain features, or customized content through our Properties. Some cookies (known as "persistent cookies") will remain on your computer or Internet device until you delete them, while others (called "session cookies") are automatically deleted when you exit your Internet browser. You can set your computer or Internet device to accept or reject most cookies, or to notify you in most situations where a cookie is offered so that you can decide whether to accept it. Also, blocking or deleting Cookies will not necessarily have the effect of stopping all tracking activity.

Analytical and statistical information we collect through our Properties

Website Analytics: We may work with third-party service providers who use the technologies described in this Privacy Policy to conduct website analytics that will help us track and understand how visitors use our Properties. For example, we may use companies such as Mixpanel or Google Analytics, a third-party web analytics service provider, to help improve the performance of our software as well as the user experience.

How we use the information we collect

We may use the information we collect for purposes such as:

Respond to or follow up on your comments, evaluations, questions, or other requests; product or content solutions or services you have requested; conduct research and analysis related to our business, our products, or Properties; improve our products, services, or Properties and tailor them to your use or preferences; enforce the terms of use of our Properties; or otherwise administer our business.

Information exchange and dissemination

We will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Updating your personal information

We will retain personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described herein unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Security

We use organizational, technical, and administrative means designed with the intention of protecting stored and transmitted information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access or disclosure.
